RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL in Coi Village

Create a positive impact in our society through VOLUNTEERING!

We introduce to you RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL in Coi Village, one of V.E.O.'s ongoing projects in Vietnam.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Responsible Travel for “Education and Community Development” in Coi Village, Xuan Son National Park is a program belonging to the project “Maintaining the Dao People’s Cultural Identity and Promoting  Community Tourism in Coi Village” by Volunteer for Education Organization (V.E.O.), The program draws the participation of many Vietnamese experts as well as local and international volunteers. We aim to build and support a firm background for sustainable development of the Dao people whose living conditions remain poor and difficult in Coi Village.
Volunteers taking part in the program will have a chance to experience the traditions and culture of the Dao people in the North-West Highlands. The village is surrounded with the beauty of nature and the mountains of Xuan Son National Park.
The program aims to promote a healthy culture exchange while keeping the Dao people’s traditional identity. Furthermore, volunteers will contribute to teaching, training, and developing the community tourism service in Coi Village. Because Coi Village possesses the ideal condition to develop community tourism, it is an opportunity for their ethnic minorities to bring in a lot of economic benefits for the sustainable development of the locals, while preserving the village’s unique culture.
