VOLUNTEER ROLE
You will join our network and our projects and alongside with us to help local people in some types of activities as follows:
1. Being a volunteer in:
  • Teaching activities
  • Being a trainer in run training sessions
  • Working with local community to improve the condition of the local education
  • Participating in some work such as: house building, handicraft making, product designing, etc.
  • Researching the condition of local products and doing marketing for them
2. Donation
Due to the lack of conditions and facilities in education and health care, we need volunteers to help us donate some items suggested below:
  • Facilities for education: books, toys, tools, paper for local schools.
  • Money for building and repairing schools, houses for poor people.
  • Health care facilities for disabled people such as: crutches, wheelchairs.
  • Computers for training IT skills for youth in local schools.
If you have any other items you want to donate for us, please list them out and send us, we will choose and give you the information on the locations in need of donation for and distribute the items to the ones in need in an appropriate way.
3. Fundraising
Because of financial requirement for projects, fundraising is needed for supporting the local community. We undertake all your support directly to the recipient. In this section, you can take some following suggested actions:
  • Join us in teaching English programs
  • Doing marketing and purchasing campaigns for local products
  • Joining responsible traveling programs
  • Collecting money from families, friends and colleagues to do charity work
If you have any initiatives for fundraising activities, and would like to help our local community, we will be very happy to hear from you.

HOW TO APPLY
In order to get involved in our projects or programs, please read our procedures as follows:
Step 1: Please visit our website and choose one or more of our projects or programs you want to join. Then let us know via email, we will contact you and give detailed information about the project you want to be a part of.
Step 2: Download the application form and fill out all needed information.
Step 3: Send us your application and a scanned version of your passport via email.
Step 4: Wait for application processing, it will take us three days or one week to process your application, then we will let you know whether you are accepted or not.
Step 5: If you are accepted, a 30% of payment will be required from you for the placement fee.
Step 6: Confirm your air ticket and the date you can join us. Prepare your visa, luggage and come to join our project. You are always welcomed in Vietnam.

 FAQ
What are the requirements to volunteer?
The requirements to volunteer will vary among projects. However, the following will be strictly applied for all projects.
  •  You must be between 18 and 60 years old  when applying to us for the placements
  • You must be in good health and free from infectious diseases
  • You must have no criminal records
Where will I work?
Our projects are available through Vietnam, in each project we assign the place where you will work. Therefore you can choose the place you work by choosing the right project in our project list.
Where will I stay?
You will be arranged the accommodation near the project site. When you join us, in each project we will suggest you the place you stay. In each region and local community, the condition will be different. You may be offered a guest house or homestay. Sometimes, for special requirements about accommodation such as staying in high rate hotel, you should inform us to check if the hotel is available in or near the project site or not.
How can I travel from the accommodation to the working place every day?
You will be arranged the accommodation near the working place. Therefore, you can walk or ride bicycle to work. If you stay in big cities, you will walk or drive a motorbike to the project site. In special condition such as big groups, we will arrange transportation for all or we will go by private bus if the size of group is bigger than 30 volunteers.
What kind of support will I get as a volunteer?
All volunteers are fully supported and supervised throughout their involvement with V.E.O. There will be a staff that you can turn to for extra support if you need. There is a supervisor on duty to guide and assist volunteers. We make sure that you are not put in situations that are beyond your abilities, and will work with you to help ensure that you find volunteering with us both challenging and rewarding.
How much time do I need to give on volunteering?
The time of volunteering will base on the schedule of each project. Normally, volunteers are required to work from 4 hours to 6 hours per day. If you want to join and spend more time volunteering, it will be highly appreciated.
When / What time can I volunteer?
Our volunteer placements will be available through the year. Some of our projects will work in office hours and you will have weekends off for travelling or other activities to discover the culture and nature of the place around and near the project site. Beside that, if you are a busy person and don’t have time join us in the office hours, some volunteer projects offered at the weekend are available, you will have a chance to do volunteer work with us in couple of days in every weekend. Just let us know your schedule and how much time you can devote in the project.
Will I have to pay for the placement cost?
A placement fee will be required from you. It will cover all your accommodation and meals, local transportation from your stay to the project site. The cost will not cover your flight ticket, travel insurance. Therefore, in order to join us, please check that you have enough budgets for your flight ticket and getting travel insurance.
Where is the hospital and emergency service when I need?
In each project, the local hospital will be different. The longest distance from hospital is around 56 km. normally the hospitals will be around 5 to 25 km from the project site. Beside the support from hospital for your health problem, we have a small local clinic in each local village; it will have enough condition for treatment when you get minor health problems such as small injuries, headache, stomachache or allergy to local food. Only in emergency situations such as surgery must you go to the hospital.
Will I work alone in the project or someone will help me in project during the time I get involved in?
In each project will we have at least one local coordinator, he/she will help you arrange the task every day and support you in your work. In some projects, sometimes, volunteers coming from different countries will join in the project at the same time; therefore, you will have chance to work with them and local people. You will not be alone.
Where will my donation go?
Your donation will go directly the place you want to support. V.E.O undertake all of it and distribute to the recipient and we help you to do it during our project. Before the donation is made by you, V.E.O will give you a proposal of how to use and transport your donation in the projects. And then, if a donation contract is needed, V.E.O will sign with you and then after finishing the projects, we will make a report to you. All information will be open and clear to make sure that your donation is directed to the right people or place in need of help.
What type of donation can I support the community through your organization?
We receive donation and support in cash or in kind. We have been running many projects related to education development for localities in informal education training. We work with local poor and disadvantaged people, orphanage, street children schools, especially with local ethnic minorities; we see that the condition for education and daily life is so poor. They need a lot of help in life such as a new and safe school with adequate facilities. Therefore you can think proactively about how to donate. If you think what you have is needed for those people, we will be very happy to receive your kindness.
Can I visit the project site and directly donate for the local community or local Centre?
We will highly appreciate when you can do that; V.E.O will consult you where you should donate and make a trip planning for  your charity program based on your schedule. All you activities in our project will be supported by our staff and volunteers.
Will I receive the award or something to prove that I have made a donation for project in your organization?
After each donation for recipient, we will have a certificate for you proving that you have made donation to our project. News for that event also will be posted on our website and you will receive the link of that news when it appears in our site.
How can I do fundraising for charity program?
It will be flexible to do fundraising for a charity program in our projects. You aim to go to Vietnam and want to give a hand of help for the community; you can email us to get information on the places and programs needing help. And then, you can show your family, friends and colleagues about your charity plan, they will help and donate to your program, and then you can collect money and items from your community to support our local needs.
Is there any other ways to assist the fundraising activities for you?
In our projects, we set up an ENGLISH TEACHING FOR FUNDRAISING. In this program, you will join us with free accommodation, free transportation in Vietnam. You will spend at least 15 hours per week where you can teach English in public schools, universities, English schools. All the money we receive from those schools will be sent to the project that needs the sustainable amount of money for building new schools or preparing houses for the local.
