V.E.O cooperates with Thuan Hoa Social Centre where poor and disable women come and learn making handicraft. We would like to help those local people in teaching English and support them in designing products and do some marketing for their small business. We hope that with the kind help from volunteer community, people in this place will improve their educations, have much more opportunity in having a better life with a sustainable job.
In Thuan Hoa Social Centre, volunteers will spent their time by renovating old stilt houses and bedrooms, or building educational facilities and resources. Volunteers can also teach English, computer usage and designs products for disable women.
You will live in the ethnic minority and tastes the local culture style in Maichau. Beside doing volunteer works, in free time you will have chance to explore the beauty of nature in Maichau by trekking to the villages and biking around the valley.
Thuan Hoa Social Protection Center is located in Maichau valley, Hoa Binh province which is about 140km from the Northwest of Hanoi where a home and a work place are provided for 20 people including disabled people and poor women. In many cases their families cannot afford to raise or educate them.
Volunteer will be arranged in the home-stay with a local family. A big room will be enough for 10 volunteers per rooms. If any requirement for private rooms, you need inform us before one month from date of participation. Toilet, bathroom, and bed with soft blankets, sheets, pillows, and mattresses are available in home-stay
